Jim Pointguard Letter [Introducing Spartacus Compact]
Dear friend and fellow American,
If you are reading this letter, it means that a friend of yours
believes that you too are frustrated with the continuing downward spiral
of our great country.
-Are you alarmed by the runaway
government spending and the exploding national debt? Are you angry that
this debt will greatly diminish the livelihood and the lives of your
children and grandchildren who will be stuck with the bill?
-Are you distressed by the looming leviathan called Obamacare? Are you
worried that its 2000+pages of rules and regulations will surely reduce
choice, increase costs, increase waiting times, and discourage the
brightest among us from pursuing a career in medicine?
-Are
you infuriated every time you go to the gas station or open up your
electric bill and see that prices are up again while we sit on more
coal, oil, and natural gas than the entire middle east?
-Are
you exasperated by our complicated and punitive tax code which stifles
business growth, discourages savings, punishes success, and frankly,
ticks off millions of Americans each Spring as they spend countless
hours trying to make sure they are indeed complying with the tax code?
-Are you outraged by the blatant bias in the mainstream media?
To summarize, are you incensed that the government thinks YOU WORK FOR THEM, when in fact, they work FOR YOU?!?!
If you are, then I'd like you to join us. I'd like you to be a part of the Spartacus Compact. ----
I doubt the politicians who created these disastrous problems have the
will or the wherewithal to solve these problems, especially with the
liberal media undermining any effort to actually fix the problems.
But I KNOW that we, the people, truly have the power to fix our
country's problems...that is, if we work together to assert that power.
Together, we will stop the downward spiral.
Together, we will restore our economic superpower status, and once more become a beacon of freedom.
Most of us agree on the big fundamental problems, and we agree on the
basics of a solution. However, because we are working long hours to pay
the bills, because we are coaching or cheering our kids in this activity
or another, because we are pulled in so many directions by life, by the
politicians, and by a corrupted media, it is hard for us to respond in a
single voice. Many of us would like to do something, but we feel
powerless--like we don't have the time, energy, or money to make a
difference, or worse, we don't know what to do, or far worse, we feel
like whatever we do, it just doesn't matter.
I have felt that
way as well, especially after seeing the media vilify the Tea Party
movement, labeling those terrific people as violent, stupid, extreme
racists, simply for wanting the government to live within its means.
But then I had an idea, an idea I am calling the Spartacus Compact. -------
We will build a community of over 10,000,000 everyday conservative Americans who will restore America's greatness.
We will do this "under the radar" with no website. We will have no
organized marches in the streets and no interviews with spokesmen as
there won't be any spokesmen.
For appearance's sake, we will not exist, preventing the liberal establishment and the media from slandering us.
We will do this over the course of the next several months, leveraging our own character and the power of compounding.
Once constructed, we will harness the power of 10,000,000 concerned
conservatives and focus that power on one or two items at a time.
10,000,000 Americans voicing their approval or disapproval in unison
gets politicians moving! But there is much more that we will do!!
Imagine this: Congress is debating the merits of tax reform. Some
Representatives have backed a major tax overhaul, but other Republicans
have softened in their support, in part due to their fear of being
excoriated by the press. So we send out an alert, asking our group to
send emails to 5 Representatives. Overnight, millions of emails in
support of the tax overhaul are received by wobbly politicians.
Imagine this: In Florida, the fight for the US Senate goes down to the
wire. The conservative in the race needs more money to buy tv
advertising time. We send out an alert, asking our group to donate
$5-$10 to that candidate's campaign. Overnight, the conservative nominee
has $25,000,000+ to spend in the closing weeks.
Imagine this:
We find a very informative and influential chart, picture, article, or
video, one that could really sway opinions--if only more people would
see it. We send out an alert to the group, asking each group member to
email the item to several friends or post it on Facebook. Overnight, 45
million people have seen the chart, picture, article, or video. Our
group will have a more powerful reach than all the networks combined.
After defeating Obama and ensuring that Republicans control the Senate, what will our goals be?
1) Create a balanced budget that reduces the national debt
2) Repeal and replace Obamacare.
3) Simplify the current tax code, replacing it with a flat tax or FairTax.
4) Become an energy superpower by extracting more oil, coal, and natural gas.
5) Impact elections to see that items 1-4 are achieved.
6) Educate our populace to see that items 1-4 are achieved. -------
What exactly is the Spartacus Compact?
The Spartacus Compact is a promise between friends. It is how we will
build the group, how we will communicate with each other, and how we
will hold the group together.
Here it is:
1) You join the Spartacus Compact. Just be a part of our Facebook page.
2) You agree to invite 3 friends or family members to the group,
introducing them to the idea simply by forwarding this letter. (Please
copy and paste it.) Or you can simply direct them to the Spartacus
Compact Facebook page.
3) You agree to encourage each of your 3 invitees to invite 3 people of their own.
4) Most posts will be informational, but there will also be action
alerts, which will ask you to perform a task, such as forwarding an
article link, if you can.
I will start building the group by
inviting 5 of my friends to join me. They will each invite 3 people,
leading to 15 new people. These 15 will then invite 3 each, resulting in
45. Let's take a look at how quickly these numbers compound:
3 x 5 = 15; x 3 = 45; 135; 405; 1215; 3645; 10,935; 32,805; 98,415; 295,245; 885,735; 2,657,205; 7,971,615.
That's over 10,000,000 people!
Our strength will be our massive numbers acting in a coordinated way.
And the liberals will have no recourse...they will be unable to strike
out or spew venom at something they can not see. -------
Will this really work?
Although creating a group this large seems daunting, it will happen.
The real question to consider is not whether we can grow to 10,000,000.
The real question is do you think you could find 3 conservative friends
who are willing to agree to the compact. The answer is easy! Of course
you can. This is why we will grow to 10,000,000. -----
Once the group is built, we will start sending out occasional action alerts. --------

Jefferson said it. And we will do it! Right under the noses of the liberal media and the liberal establishment. I love it!
